Featured Work

The Hummingbird's Dance

My chapbook album, recorded at Crazy Beast Studio with producer Ben Durrant and collaborator JG Everest in 2022. Spoken word woven with original composition — a record that lives somewhere between poetry collection and live performance.

Written from the territory between healing and memory, it's the most honest document of my work—where writing and performance meet.

About Rosie

Rosetta "Rosie" Peters

I am a poet, writer, and performer of Ihanktonwan and Hunkpati Dakota Oyate descent, based in Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota. My work centers on healing, truth-telling, and the complexity of Indigenous identity — written and performed with a precision that disarms.

I'm a 2020 MN State Arts Board (MSAB) grantee, 2021 MRAC Next Step grantee, and 2026 MN State Arts Board Arts Experiences grantee. Published in the 2018 Yellow Medicine Review. Co-founder of the Arrow Broken Poetry Collective, which hosts a monthly open mic in Marine on St. Croix.

I've performed at The Loft, Button Poetry, Penumbra Theater, MacPhail Center for Music, Bryant-Lake Bowl, and Stillwater Prison, among others.
