Thanks for your support!

The Hummingbird’s Dance is the debut “chapbook album” by acclaimed poet and storyteller Rosetta Peters (of Crow Creek, Yankton, Oglala descent) and award-winning composer / musician JG Everest – a unique collaboration that lays bare Peters’ deeply personal story of loss, trauma, resilience, and joy within a transcendent yet grounding soundtrack of original music. It’s a powerful collection of 11 pieces of poetry and memoir filled with alternately tender and heartbreaking reflections on addiction, displacement, abuse, forgiveness, and love. The combination of Peters’ earthy vocals, both spoken and sung, with Everest’s deft, layered score, conjures a transformative alchemy of hard truths.”  Each limited edition, numbered copy of the chapbook includes an audio CD and / or link for downloadable or streaming audio.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
